Privacy at the Parlour

A short and specific account of what this showcase remembers, what it deliberately does not collect, and how to clear the one browser note we keep.

Last reviewed: 12 September 2026 Applies to: copper hollow showcase pages

The short version

This website is a static showcase. There is no account system, no newsletter signup, no order form, and no payment processing anywhere on these pages. We do not run advertising pixels, session recorders, or third-party analytics. The only thing stored on your device is a single browser note that records whether you dismissed the storage banner.

What the browser note contains

When you choose "Keep my note" or "Essential only" on the banner, the page writes one entry to your browser's local storage under a randomly named key belonging to this showcase. That entry holds a short word — either accepted or essential-only — and nothing else. It contains no name, no email address, no location, no device fingerprint, and no browsing history.

The purpose is purely practical: it stops the banner from reappearing on every page you open. If your browser blocks local storage (private browsing modes often do), the banner simply will not return after you click, and no note is written at all.

How to remove it

  • Clear site data for this page in your browser's settings, which removes all local storage.
  • Use a private or incognito window, where the note disappears when the window closes.
  • Write to the kitchen and ask us how the note is named so you can remove it precisely.

Interactive widgets and your privacy

The decade flavour dial and the gift tin matcher run entirely inside your browser. Your selections are held in the page's memory while the tab is open and are never transmitted, logged, or saved. Closing the tab clears them.

Correspondence you send us

If you write to the kitchen by email, we receive whatever you choose to include — your name, your return address, and the question you asked. We keep that correspondence in a folder long enough to answer it and to recall the conversation if you write again. We do not add correspondence addresses to any mailing list, and we do not sell, rent, or trade them.

Please do not send payment details, government identifiers, or health information by email. The kitchen has no need for any of it, and email is not a secure vault.

Children and family visitors

The showcase is written for adults arranging gifts and for families reading the craft notes together. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under thirteen, and there is no mechanism on this site that could collect it.

Links away from this showcase

Every link on these pages is a local page, a page section, or a mailto address that opens your own email program. We intentionally do not link out to other websites, so no other operator receives your visit because of us.

Changes to this notice

If the showcase changes in a way that affects this notice — for example, if a new interactive feature stores something — this page will be revised and the review date at the top will change. We do not backdate revisions.
